  1. When can I enroll my child in the European School Ljubljana?

The enrolment period for the first year of primary school will start in February. For higher grades, applications are collected in February but the actual enrolment is only possible after the student has completed their previous school year. If there are any available openings left in classes after the enrolment procedure or after the applications have been collected, enrolment will be possible until they are filled.

  2. When will it be possible to enroll my child in higher grades?

The first P1 and P2 students enrolled at the European School Ljubljana in September 2018. In the school year 2019/2020, we successfully established all of the Primary school levels (P1 - P5). In 2020/2021, we will open the Secondary school levels S1, S2, and S3. The S4 and S5 classes will be available in the 2021/22 school year, S6 in 2022/23 and S7 in 2023/24, when the first European Baccalaureate will be obtained.

  3. What language sections will the European School Ljubljana offer?

The lessons are taught in two separate language sections, Slovene and English. This means that the language of instruction in the Slovene section will be Slovene and English in the English section. In addition, there are lessons taught in foreign languages.

  4. Are the students separated in language sections at all times?

Most classes are taught separately. However, in some activities students join regardless of their language section. A bilingual instruction and support are given in joined subjects, for example Recreation, European Hours, Sports, Excursions, Workshops etc.
