Visit to a European School in Ireland and Participation in a Professional Course
Miss Laura and Miss Mateja visited the Centre for European Schooling, Dunshaughlin in Ireland in February, where they were invited to observe lessons and gain insight into how the school runs its daily life and routines. The visit provided them with a valuable opportunity to understand different teaching approaches and compare them with practices in Slovenia. They also took part in the course "European School for All Children", where they presented their school and country, and connected with teachers from across Europe. The exchange of experiences, ideas, and good practices was both inspiring and enriching.
During their stay, they had the chance to explore Irish culture, visit Dublin, and experience the warmth and openness of the local people. A key focus of the course was the UDL (Universal Design for Learning) approach, which promotes inclusive teaching by adapting lessons to different learning styles, interests, and abilities. UDL aims to create a learning environment where every child can succeed. The entire experience was truly rewarding for both teachers and will positively influence their future work in the classroom.
